| 05/01/09 - So after coming off of an amazing 2008 season Canobie Lake is already into its 2009 season, and 107th overall! SpookyWorld seem to be coming back again in 2009, although it hasn't been "official" announce. Half a dozen Trip Reports (most with photos) from the parks opening day have also been posted on the forums... So go check them out if you haven't made it to the park yet this year. As far as site updates go. I'm really sorry its taking so long. I really just don't have that much time to build a whole new site from nothing, again. It'll happen. I'm just not sure when. |
| 08/22/08 - MAJOR NEWS - Canobie Lake Park has themed up with Spooky World, "America's Horror Theme Park" bringing Halloween to Canobie Lake this October! Not only does this mean more weekends in the fall and later hours! But also the chance to visit the park the first weekend of November! -- Spooky World additions will feature The Crypt, Monster Mansion, The Laboratory in 3D, The Silver Scream Horror Museum!, Haunted Magic Show, The Monster Parade, The Mine of Lost Souls, and The Spooky Express - For more information visit www.Canobie.com or the CanobieFan fourms. |
| 08/18/08 - 2008 = Zero Gravity! Round-Up is gone and Zero Gravity has opened in its place. The new ride made by Dartron opened earlier this season and is great. The second new ride for 08, Boston Harbor Patrol (replacing Ocean Trip) has still yet to open as far as I know. - as a side note (and I know its a tired-excuse now...) School and life have been keeping me from updating the main site for now... I'm almost disgusted with how bad I let it go... Give me time and I'll give you a CanobieFan that's 5 times better than it is now. |
| 08/13/07 - WOW It's been almost a year from the last front page update! I'm sorry it's been so long. Anyways in Canobie news the new Xtreme Frisbee is now up and running (and it's AMAZING!), Matterhorn is long gone having been replaced with a sitting area. Corkscrew might be turning pink and green?! And Yankee Cannonball now has rainbow lights around its turnaround. |
| 11/18/06 – Hmm what can I update about today? Well... Uhh… Today is CanobieFan’s third birthday! So yay for that! As for park news... The new front gate is coming along good. The new entrance is going to look VERY different then the old one and the park has got a lot done on it so far. It also seems that 5-6 trees will be / have been removed in front of the park along the fence line and a few trees in the “field” lot were seen with pink tape around them. Canobie has also won two brass ring awards at this years IAAPA for best park website and best park brochure in it's category. And one more thing… The parks “Holiday Sale” will be starting soon at both the Rockingham Mall (NH) and the Burlington Mall (MA) until December 24th. |
| 10/7/06 – So now that it’s October Canobie Lake Park is now closed for the 2006 season. As many people guessed…. The parks new Huss Frisbee missed opening at all this year but I guess that means we will have a ‘new’ ride for next season. Also with work for the 2007 season now underway at the park. The swimming pool is now a thing of the past. The parks front gate will also be a thing of the past as Canobie will receive a new front gate over the winter to match the new parking lot gates from this year. |
| 8/7/06 - Construction on the all new "Xtreme Frisbee" is going well at the park. Many ride parts are now sitting on the back side of the Pirata so it shouldn’t be to long until the ride starts going up. Once it's up it won’t be to long until the ride opens! In other news Matterhorn seems to be down for the count now and the Paratroopers have been removed from the park and have found a new home at Blue Diamond Park in Delaware. Also a few days ago CanobieFan’s Fan Forum’s got its 300th member! |
| 5/25/06 - Sorry I have not updated the site in a long time. I go to year-round school so I dont have much time to do it. And now that I have some free time I'm going on vacation... But when I get back the site WILL be updated!
In other news Canobie Lake is now open for the 2006 season!.. Woo. |
| 4/14/06 - Long time without any updates... Well.. Now I have something to update about! It seems Canobie Lake will be adding a new ride of the 2006 season! A new "Frisbee" will open around Memorial Day weekend. The ride has been "approved by the town". Skater will be staying at the park for 2006 but has been moved in the park itself. The new Frisbee ride will take Skaters place. In other news... The 2006 season starts in just over one week! :D |
| 1/3/06 - Woo first update of the year! And this time it has to do with Canobie Lake!
The park has announced it's 2006 shows. They will be “Do You Believe – A Tribute to
a Legendary Icon", CL5 (Sounds like a boy band), Professor
UnCannny!, and Canobie Idol will be back from last year. The park has also put out the price for the 2006 seasnon. Ticket will now be $27.00. |

| 12/14/05 - So... Update... Woo... So.. 2 POV's are now offline... Twister and Whizzer. They will both be back "soon". And then 3 new videos have been added to the "members only" area. Cornball Express, Daredevil, and Laser... Woo... |
| 12/1/05 - Two more POV videos have been posted in the "members only" forum. The videos are Whizzer and Iron Wolf both from Six Flags Great America. Anyone who is a member can download the videos and to become a member is free. Just sign up on the fourms and you can download them. |
| 11/27/05 - Yup... So 2 more POVs have been posted for "members view only". The 2 new POVs are Superman - Ride Of Steel at Six Flags Darien Lake and Twister at Knoebels. |
| 11/26/05 - 3 new POV's added.... But this time were going to do it different. This time the videos are for "members view only" and wont be posted on the main page for a week or two. The videos are Scream at SFNE, Superman - Ultimate Flight at SFGAdv, and then Excalibur at Funtown USA. Wooo! |

Long time no update? Well... I have an update but it's not about Canobie ;-) Six new POV's have been added to CanobieFan and also a SFKK music video was added a few weeks ago but I forgot to make a post about it. |
| 09/01/05 - And were back! So.. After the ScreamScape thing... CanobieFan is now back! And well I hope that wont happen anymore. Look for new videos and new Canobie updates soon. |
| 08/20/05 - Hey all, yatpay here. Well, CanobieFan recently saw a surge of traffic due to a mention on screamscape.com. So... last I checked, James was at 102% of his bandwidth quota and counting. In other words, the site should already be down. For some reason it isn't.. yet. So, for all those who want to skip ahead.. EXPECT CANOBIEFAN DOWNTIME UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH!! The forums will still be up. That is all. |

| 8/11/05 - So first update in a few weeks..... The parks new Skater ride is now open and well as it may just be for this year if you want to get a ride on it... You should go as soon as you can so you dont miss it! In other park "news" the sink hole that was in the parking lot has now been filled in. The Tiki Maze now has a new sign on the back side by Wipeout. The Round-Up has new belt clips. The Crazy Cups top is back on! And then it seems like most if not all of the water fountains in the park have been replaced by vender machines....
And in non Canobie news... If you have looked around the video page you may have seen that CanobieFan now has 2 more POV videos.... Hydra The Revenge at Dorney Park and Mind Eraser at SFNE have both been added! This is just the start of the all new CanobieFan. Be on the look out for more POVs, MusicVideos, And maybe... Just maybe NEW Canobie Lake INFO! :D |
| 7/19/05 - Yeah... So you might see that the colors on CanobieFan have changed... Just a bit... And if you look around a bit more... You might find the new Video Page! Once at that page you can click to go to the POV page where you will find POVs on coasters. Or you can go to the Music Video page and find different ride and park videos I have made. This will be also be the last update CF will have for the next week or two as this weekend im off to NY/NJ/PA for a nice coaster trip...Racking up my count to around 305. |

| 7/4/05 - So.... Long time no updates.... Castaway Island is now open and has been for some time. Most guests seem to really like it as it has seemed full everytime I walked past. Rockin' Rider is now all gone but some parts of it are still in the parking lot. A new "Skater" ride is now on site where Rockin Rider once was. In other news the pools days are numbered and a new front gate will be done in the next few years. Also Rowdy Roosters are now open after a long rehab. And the Skater should be open in the next few days. Umm... Thats it for now I guess... |
| 4/23/05 - Woo... So Canobie Lake is open for the 2005 season! Opening day was cold and wet... But that kept most people away.... Leaving an empty park for the few that showed up! Even with the park closing 2 hours before it should have I was still able to ride more things then I would in a "12 to 10" in the summer... So much has changed in the park from last season.. Things like......Paint! Lots of things in the park have been painted... The Maze, Cannonballs trains, Canobie Express trains, The Sky Ride, Bumper cars, The Missle, Caterpillar (also got seat belts), Round Up, And maybe more!Castaway Island is almost done. The wall that will go around the ride (or just the front) is not all in place yet. Also the volcano entrance is on site but not all in place.Cannonball started off running slow but latter in the day was running like it always does... If not better because it was wet.. Very wet....Yeah... So the park now open for the 2005 season! |
